Balázs Püspök-Kiss (Illyan) built the Jay app as an Ad Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Balázs Püspök-Kiss (Illyan) at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.   • Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We may collect PII such as your name, email address, and phone number when you provide it to us (via Firebase services), for example during registration or when you contact us for support.
  • Device Information: We collect device-specific information such as your device's unique identifier (Client ID, which is generated on first startup of the app), device name, and operating system version. This information helps us to provide a better experience and to troubleshoot issues.
  • Location Data: We collect location data, including, but not limited to GeoPoint, altitude, and speed data, along with Timestamps, when a (user controlled) Session is running, even when the app is in the background or closed. This information is used to provide analytics about your taken path, such as your speed on your route and to display where you have been while driving.
  • Sensory Data: We collect custom sensory data containing the type of sensor, three values (probably floating-point numbers), and a Timestamp when the measure was taken.
  • User Preferences: We collect user preferences, which represent your settings and preferences within the app. Preferences can affect data collection, client behavior, and synchronization between devices.

  • Provide and maintain our Service and quality assurance.
  • Improve and personalize your experience with our Service.
  • Enable supervisors/managers to oversee fleet operations in real-time.
  • Provide analytics for quality assurance, detecting anomalies, and improving road infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide customer support.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy​

We retain your personal and sensitive data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When the data is no longer necessary, we will delete it using secure methods or anonymize it.

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies​

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.
